An Open Doors Foreword Update

There is a very welcome update to the Foreword in the Open Doors text. Americans and American business had suffered financially under a largely stalled economy at the time of its writing in 2013.

That has now been reversed. The American economy has now accumulated an impressive track record of growth, creating and increasing wealth and opportunity in sectors across the board.

Unemployment, currently at 4%, is at record lows for women, Hispanics and African-Americans. Furthermore, “discouraged workers”—those who had ceased looking for work--have been reentering the job market. That’s good news for everyone!
