Think of it . . . America is a country that has set aside a day just to be grateful. It’s remarkable, really, that all across America people pause to recognize the good things in their lives. It is part of what makes America unique.
This year has been just weird for most people. Almost everything is different and unfamiliar. Travel, business, school and work – nothing looks the same as it did a mere nine months ago.
So, how do we best deal with that as we enter the holiday season?
Now is when we have the opportunity to choose to recognize good things on purpose. Think - what are you grateful for? Make a gratitude list. It will refocus your attention on the good things in your life. Hopefully you will identify blessings you may not have thought to appreciate in the day-to-day business of living. Gratitude lightens our outlook, and I think you’ll find that this will be an effort worth making.
