Like Snoopy and the Charlie Brown gang sing, “Christmas time is here . . . ‘ The exquisite story of a Babe in a manger, come to earth as Emmanuel – “God With Us.”
I’ll spend Christmas with loved ones – all the usual crowd won’t be together, but that’s OK. I’ll help fix a delicious Christmas feast for a few, attend a socially-distanced Christmas service filled with masked parishioners, and I’ll call a few friends who are in a retirement home situation where they are missing their own family traditions. And I’ll be grateful for special memories of Christmases past.
Even in this very different holiday season, the wonder of Christmas still holds true. Merry Christmas, everyone.
