Today is the annual National Day of Prayer (NDOP). "Love One Another" is this year’s theme; John 13:34 is the verse: "Love one another. Just as I have loved you."
I have participated in this event many times, and people from every state will take part in some type of 2019 prayer gathering or service again today. Towns and cities across America, as well as civic clubs, schools and colleges such as Colorado Christian in Lakewood, CO, are hosting NDOP events and prayer calls. This is how the organization realizes their motto: Mobilizing Unified Public Prayer for America.
Here in our nation's Capitol Region, there will be a service on the West Lawn of the Capitol at 4:30 p.m. The NDOP National Observance will take place later in Statuary Hall (attendance by invitation only), but you can see it live streamed from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. at https://livestream.com/accounts/2710702/2019nationaldayofprayer.Or, you can check on the NDOP website to locate an event in your area.
