Casting Crowns, Elevation Worship and Hillsong

Every couple of years, Casting Crowns makes an appearance in the DC area – and we’re there! This year the concert took place at the Verizon Center in downtown D.C. It was a special tour joining three multi-platinum-selling groups: Casting Crowns, Hillsong Worship, and Elevation Worship. All of them are church-based.

Of particular interest to middle and high schoolers like yourselves, Casting Crowns includes seven friends, all of who work in their local church’s youth ministry in Georgia. Their music has received 18 GMA Dove Awards. They’ve also won a GRAMMY and work around the world in various ministries and missions. The well-being of young people are a top priority.

Hillsong Worship’s music is so popular that it is sung by an estimated 50 million people around the world each week! Elevation Worship, another personal favorite, is the worship ministry of Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.

It was a fantastic evening with powerful messages of unity, hope and witnessing God working in the world today. It was a night to enjoy with music to remember. I cannot encourage you more to check out their individual websites or YouTube videos to enjoy music that's really worth listening to!
